Structure Analysis & Impact Test
Client: Brogent Technologies
Keywords: FE Modeling; Flight Simulator; Dynamic Simulation; Fatigue Analysis; Validation Test.
This project focuses on the structural safety design analysis and validation testing of the i-ride flight simulator and fairground steel building, aiding in the acquisition of TÃœV safety certification.
Developed by Brogent, i-ride is the world's first flight simulator. The passenger seat module is driven by six-axis electric cylinders, synchronized with dynamic scenes on a giant hemispherical screen, and accompanied by effects such as wind, mist, and scents. This allows passengers to experience realistic 3D motion without needing 3D glasses.
Due to the large size of the i-ride and its installation in theme park steel buildings, passenger safety is the top priority. TOPU is responsible for the structural simulation analysis and validation testing, including static and dynamic deformation, stress, and weld fatigue analysis (based on EN1993-1-9 & FKM6), considering 336 load conditions for the simulator. In 2018, TOPU successfully assisted Brogent in obtaining TÃœV safety certification, enabling installations and operations in over 30 renowned attractions and theme parks across four continents.
